Volunteer Information
Our Post and Auxiliary functions primarily for you, the members and our veterans. It takes participation from our members to keep our Post operational. Attending meetings helps keep you informed of what is going on locally, within our Post, as well as, the National information. At the present time we need members to help fill vacancies for officers.
Please contact, Janie Brown, Donnie Green or Jim Dexter at the Post 812-945-2024, if you are interested.
Volunteers are absolutely one of our greatest assets. It's the volunteers that make our fundraiser/events (such as Open House, Fish Fry, Craft Bazaars, Cake Wheel, etc) a great success. Our biggest fundraiser each year is "Harvest Homecoming Dumpling Booth". Our community looks forward to our dumplings and we could not keep up with the demand without our volunteers.
Everyone has things they are able to do (such as donations of baked goods, etc.) or has the time to volunteer an hour or two with your fellow members, but you have to make the decision to help support our Post.
Support can be attending ceremonies, such as Memorial Day March to the Plaza, Veterans Day Celebration, attending in Open House, coming for Wednesday Night Dinner, shopping at our Craft Bazaar, etc.).
Please contact the Post at 812-945-2024 to contact Janie Brown or Brenda Bowling to have your name added to the list of volunteers. Any participation you choose can go along way for our Post, along with the sense of accomplishment for yourself. Fun comes in many forms, so try this one, you won't regret it.
